What terrifies us is what unites us. VHS is a cultural event intended to celebrate great storytelling that highlights the darker side of life. Our goal is to celebrate the power of storytelling and provide a platform for emerging talent in the world of independent filmmaking.
After a successful, sold-out inaugural year, the Vancouver Horror Show Film Festival will be returning for the sequel in 2019. Last year’s blood-red carpet event featured 12 exemplary short horror films from all over the world that stunned and delighted audiences, filmmakers, horror fans and cinephiles alike. In year 2, the VHS will continue to bring creators, diverse audiences, and the horror industry together in vibrant downtown Vancouver, BC. We are thrilled to be adding a second day of programming and opening up submissions for feature length films.
