VHS 2023
Founded in 2018, The Vancouver Horror Show Film Festival (VHS) is a registered charity under the Canadian Revenue Agency and a non-profit Society in British Columbia with the mission to celebrate great cinematic storytelling in the horror genre, and to support the filmmakers and screenwriters who tell those stories. Since its inaugural year the VHS has screened nearly 200 short films and 17 feature films to thousands of in-person and virtual attendees.
VHS 2023 will take place at The Scotiabank Theatre in downtown Vancouver on October 13-15, and at The Cineplex Cinemas Metropolis at Metrotown in Burnaby the following weekend, October 20-22. VHS will bring six feature length films and 41 short films from all over the world to Vancouver and Burnaby audiences, providing scares perfect for the Halloween season that can’t be found anywhere else. The 2023 VHS Festival lineup will include Industry panels, Filmmaker Q&As, Screenplay Competition, Red Carpet Soirees and more.
But wait, it isn’t over! In 2023 the festival is spreading across BC with the inaugural VHS Road Show bringing terror to the Tillicum Twin Theatres in Terrace, BC, and the GEM Theatre in Grand Forks, BC.
