It gives us almost a vacation into situations that stimulate some very raw emotions in us but we can do it in a safe environment,” says festival founder David Taylor.

Riding on the resurgence of true crime fascination and the horror genre’s newfound respect (see: Get Out‘s multiple Oscar noms), the Vancouver Horror Show Film Festival (VHS) is coming to town— time to turn down the lights and break out the spine-chilling whispers.
The VHS Film Festival is set to highlight the terrifying and macabre work from storytellers all over the world and is curated by the programming team including Founder, David Taylor; Artistic Director, Lloyd Darling; Director of Programming, Meghan Hemingway; VP of Shorts, Connor J. Campbell; and Program Advisors, Jon McIntyre and Majd Qutob.
