ADRIÁN GARCÍA BOGLIANO
Writer and director Adrián García Bogliano was born in Madrid, Spain, and now resides in Mexico. For nearly two decades, he has been an innovative force in Latin American horror cinema.
Beginning his directing career at just nineteen years old, his filmography spans horror, thriller, and fantasy films that blend classic genre elements with a modern and unsettling sensibility.
His most notable works include Here Comes the Devil, Late Phases, and Scherzo Diabolico. His films have earned acclaim at prestigious festivals including Toronto, Tribeca, Fantastic Fest, Raindance, and SXSW.
Beyond feature films, García Bogliano has directed series for streaming platforms including Netflix and Vix+.
His commercial appeal is reflected in box-office successes such as Come Play With Me and La Exorcista, both of which ranked among Mexico’s top ten films.
Having worked across Argentina, Costa Rica, the United States, Mexico, Sweden, and Colombia, García Bogliano has developed a truly international filmmaking practice.
His latest film, Talking to a Stranger, was the only Latin American film selected in competition at the 2026 Rotterdam Film Festival.
