GIGI SAUL GUERRERO
Gigi Saul Guerrero is a Mexican genre director, filmmaker, and actress praised as one of the leading emerging directors in horror by Empire, Dread Central, Fangoria, IGN, and Bloody Disgusting.
Guerrero is the co-founder of Luchagore Productions in Vancouver, Canada. Born and raised in Mexico City, she is also known to fans as “La Muñeca del Terror.”
Guerrero recently made her feature-film acting debut in the Mexican thriller Talking to a Stranger, where her performance was praised by Screen Anarchy following the film’s premiere at the prestigious International Film Festival Rotterdam.
She has been recognized by Variety and L’ATTITUDE LATINXT as part of a new wave of Latino talent and secured a first-look deal with Jason Blum’s Blumhouse Productions.
Guerrero graduated with honours from Vancouver’s Capilano University BOSA Centre for Film and Animation and was later honoured with the Alumni Award for Excellence.
In 2025, Guerrero directed, wrote, and starred in El Lazo de Petra, an 11-minute short film created for Apple’s Shot on iPhone campaign.
Her feature directorial debut, Culture Shock, was produced for Blumhouse Productions Television and won Best Primetime Movie at the Imagen Awards. Guerrero continues to direct across platforms and has created three features, sixteen award-winning short films, and numerous episodic projects.
