KAREN LAM

Karen has worked full-time in the film and television industry since 1996.

Starting as a producer and lawyer, Karen has written and directed ten short films, three music videos, directed a true-crime documentary series for Investigation Discovery (US), a TELUS web series, and five feature films, including “Stained” (2010), “Evangeline” (2013) and “The Curse of Willow Song” (2020). Karen finished two films in the last two years: “Mrs. Chang’s Perfect Teeth,” a short film which won the DCG-BC “Established Director Greenlight Award” in 2023 and Armageddon Road (2026). “Armageddon Road” is a darkly funny feature film set in 1970s Las Vegas which had its official world premiere at Fantaspoa in Brazil in April 2026, and is currently playing at Popcorn Frights in the US and will have its Mexican debut at the Macabro Film Festival this August. The feature is currently screening at theatres across Canada this fall, including Toronto early September. (Friends of VHS will know that we had a sneak preview in October 2025!)
