KAREN LAM
Karen has worked full-time in the film and television industry since 1996. Starting as a producer and lawyer, Karen has written and directed ten short films, three music videos, a true-crime documentary series for Investigation Discovery in the United States, a TELUS web series, and five feature films.
Her feature-film credits include Stained (2010), Evangeline (2013), and The Curse of Willow Song (2020).
Karen recently completed two films: Mrs. Chang’s Perfect Teeth, a short film that won the DCG-BC Established Director Greenlight Award in 2023, and Armageddon Road (2026).
Armageddon Road is a darkly funny feature film set in 1970s Las Vegas. It had its official world premiere at Fantaspoa in Brazil in April 2026 and is currently playing at Popcorn Frights in the United States. The film will also make its Mexican debut at the Macabro Film Festival this August.
The feature is currently screening at theatres across Canada this fall, including Toronto in early September. Friends of VHS may remember that the festival hosted a sneak preview of the film in October 2025.
