RACHEL TALALAY
Rachel Talalay’s eclectic career spans four decades of directing and producing. She recently completed directing Yaga, a miniseries for Crave starring rising talents Hudson Williams and Carrie-Anne Moss.
Her best-known work includes directing classics of British television: eight episodes of Doctor Who, the acclaimed BBC series Sherlock, and the final instalment of Good Omens. Her American television credits include American Gods, Marvel’s Iron Fist, DC’s Doom Patrol, Quantum Leap, Riverdale, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Supergirl, and The Flash.
In between television episodes, she directed A Babysitter’s Guide to Monster Hunting for Netflix and the film adaptation of Stevie Cameron’s award-winning novel On the Farm. The film played at more than a dozen festivals, winning Best Narrative Feature at the Seattle Social Justice Film Festival and Best Filmmaking at the LA Skins Festival.
Her eclectic directing resume also includes Tank Girl, Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare, Ghost in the Machine, and Wind in the Willows, as well as the award-winning miniseries Terminal City, Durham County, and Dice. She has directed more than 75 hours of television in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada, from Ally McBeal to Without a Trace, and from Randall & Hopkirk (Deceased) to Touching Evil.
Her producing history is equally varied, ranging from Hairspray and Cry-Baby to the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise, including Parts 3 and 4, and The Borrowers.
Her skin is made of Teflon—a noted superpower.
