MEG FAVREAU
Meg Favreau is a writer, filmmaker, and artist whose work centres relatable characters in heightened and unusual worlds, whether through horror, comedy, or speculative fiction.
Meg wrote and directed the narrative shorts The Last Cheap House and Hot Dog Steering Wheel, as well as the documentary short The Ladder.
As a screenwriter, Meg has written projects for several companies, including co-writing the animated comedy The Twits (2025) for Netflix, based on the Roald Dahl book.
Beyond screenwriting and filmmaking, Meg’s fiction, essays, and humour pieces have appeared in publications including The Massachusetts Review, The New Yorker, McSweeney’s, and Real Simple. She also wrote the cookbook Little Old Lady Recipes.
Originally from the birch-fingered clutches of northern New Hampshire, Meg currently lives in Los Angeles with her partner, her cats, and her collection of fake hands.
