Producers Sean Harris Oliver and Matt Drake (Hunting Matthew Nichols), filmmaker and producer Kurtis David Harder (Influencer, Influencers), and Caroline Stern, Managing Director and founder of Canoe Film joins VHS for a practical discussion about what happens to an independent horror film after it has been made.
Drawing on experience across producing, international sales, theatrical and self-distribution, the panel will explore how filmmakers can position their projects for a successful life beyond the festival circuit — from packaging and sales to marketing, release strategy and finding an audience.
Designed for emerging and independent filmmakers, the panel will examine what producers can do early — from packaging and positioning to marketing materials and release strategy — to give their films the strongest possible life beyond the festival circuit.
