Limited to 150 numbered copies (Copies 1-33 half bound leather with coloured endpapers and a doublure of hand marbled paper & Copies 34-150 quarter bound leather with conventional marbled endpapers) of which this is number 23. Half bound in Australian Cane Toad leather & green cloth w. labels blocked in gold on goatskin and with a small toad device blind blocked on front board. In matching slipcase with panels of same marbled paper and also with a blind blocked small toad device and a chemise also with the same green cloth and marbled paper with a spine in goatskin leather and a label of blind stamped toadskin. Hand-marbled paper made by Anne Muir Marbling Ltd. 120gsm laid conqueror paper. 6¼" x 7½". ix + 130pp. Incl. Appendix 1: Bones in the Shoemakers Legendarium. Appendix 2: The Miller’s Word. Appendix 3: Some Toadmanry in Obeah, Hoodoo and Conjur. Appendix 4: Other Bone Magic and English Horse Skull Performances. Appendix 5: Speculation upon some Roots of Toadmanry. Appendix 6: The Examination of John Walsh. Footnotes. Bibliography and Reference. Illustrated, some in colour.
